FFLS Learning Communities: how you can get involved

Here at Food for Life Scotland, we're all about celebrating good food culture, learning, ideas, and action.

We want to help you share and learn together - and we're now creating Food for Life Scotland Learning Communities to help schools do just that. These Learning Communities will provide schools with the opportunity to share, support, and learn from one another, but also to empower even more schools to begin their own Food for Life journeys.

How it works:

- The Food for Life Scotland Pathfinder schools, who played such a crucial role in piloting our Education Framework last year, are transitioning into Food for Life Scotland Ambassador schools this year. These Ambassador schools act as hubs of activity for schools in the local area to share & learn about food together. Check out the above infographic for further explanation.

-Each Ambassador school will be hosting a twilight session for schools in their area - and the topics for discussion are up to you!

-Got an idea for a session? Perhaps the school down the road is improving their dining hall, or maybe your school has strong links with your local community. Sessions can be focused on any food-related topic that is useful for you and your learning community. Stuck for a session idea? Get in touch & we can help you. Come along and share your ideas, challenges, and successes.

-Don't forget to share your learning community stories on our website - you might have a great idea for a session that nobody has thought of yet!

If you're interested in joining one of our Learning Communities, just sign up your school here. Becoming a Food for Life Scotland school gives you access to all of our resources and we'll keep you updated about great food-related learning opportunities from us and other food education partners across Scotland. We'll send you regular details of Learning Community events in your area, and you'll also receive our monthly newsletter.

In the meantime, as always, please don't hesitate to contact us should you have any queries. Let's work together to make Scotland a Good Food Nation!
