Edinburgh Uni renews Catering Mark
Big congratulations go to Edinburgh University for renewing its Food for Life Bronze Catering Mark award. The award means that students in Pollock Halls are able to access catering where at least 75% of meals are freshly prepared. A total of 4,000 meals are served each day, covering breakfast and evening meals.
The Catering Mark award means that:
- Food is free from controversial additives
- Every egg is a free range egg
- Fish is sustainable
- Meat is farm assured and can be traced back to the farm
- Menus are designed to make the best of seasonal ingredients
