Staff Lunch with a Difference!
We had a staff lunch with a difference this week at Soil Association Scotland headquarters – I brought in Mongolian dumplings, called buuz. They are made with lamb mince and then steamed, and are the perfect winter warmer for a chilly day.
We have started a ‘round the world’ lunch club in the office – each month someone brings in a traditional dish to share from the place they’re from or somewhere they’ve been. I picked Mongolia because I lived there while working as an ecologist, and it has lots of interesting food (not much for the vegetarian though so good job I like meat!). Next it’s Kirsten’s turn, who’s going to bring an ‘Up Helly Aa!’ lunch from Shetland. Can’t wait!
Have you tried any weird and wonderful foods from around the globe? Why not tell your own food story too!
