Meat Matters at the University of Edinburgh

It matters to us that the meat we serve comes from mainly Scottish farms which meet UK welfare standards. It’s one of the reasons we have been able to achieve the Food for Life Catering Mark Bronze award across our catered outlets in the city, as well as at Pollock Halls of Residence.

As part of our work together, the Food for Life Scotland team helped raise awareness of animal welfare and other issues through a series of engagement events within our catering halls, as well as gathering information about what matters to our students.
