Chilli mince and rice

Ingredients

  • 1.2kg QMS beef mince
  • 225g Onions, diced
  • 10g Garlic puree
  • 15g Chilli powder
  • 2.5kg Chopped Tomatoes, tinned
  • 30g Tomato puree
  • 10g Mixed herbs
  • 1.5kg Long grain rice

Method

  1. Brown the mince in a hot pan
  2. Add all other ingredients, allow to simmer for 1 hour.
  3. Taste, adjust seasoning and consistency if required.
  4. Serve with boiled long grain rice.

Tips and variations

You can add other vegetables for more nutrition and flavour, try adding chopped carrots, or turnips.
